Homestays with Mexican families at CETLALIC offer students real-life opportunities to practice Spanish and learn about Mexican culture

I
felt my Mexican family really included me as a part of their
lives.
(Veronica Reyna,
Ann Arbor, MI., USA)

Besides
being extremely warm and accomodating I really appreciated
the vegetarian food and speaking more slowly to me.
(David Kaminker
North Brunswick, N.J., USA)

A variety of homestay options with
local families are available.

Homestays offer a choice of private bedrooms with private or shared
bathrooms as well as shared bedroooms.

Accomodations

An integral
part of your study of the language and culture at CETLALIC is the
experience of living with a Mexican family. Living in a Mexican
home offers a unique perspective on the daily lives of the people,
their food, customs, and warm hospitality. Families help students
learn the language in practical situations. Students are included
in family outings and fiestas. We also offer homestays with gays
and lesbians in the Cuernavaca community. All CETLALIC families
are gay and lesbian friendly.

I
really appreciated the excellent food & many fine social activities
they brought me to or hosted. I had many opportunities to practice
Spanish in "unrehearsed" settings.
